Aeris Energy, Latin America’s largest manufacturer of wind turbine blades, has opened its Training Center in the United States, in Houston, Texas. The initiative forms part of Aeris Services sustainable growth strategy, with a focus on workforce development and technical standardisation.
At a time of reorganisation within the global wind energy market, this investment signals long-term confidence and reinforces Aeris’s position as an operational benchmark in the sector.
Rooms dedicated to technical analysis, supported by the Aeris Services Engineering team and procedures based on actual field repairs.
Blade repair training rooms developed by the Aeris Services team, equipped with all the necessary equipment and tools to maximise technicians learning and simulate real-life field situations.
A dedicated area for safety training, in partnership with ENSA, a leading company in this training sector in the USA. The facilities are equipped to deliver GWO-certified ART and BST training, as well as training on specific equipment such as rigging, basket, tagline and lifeline.
The methodology was developed based on the experience of our field and engineering teams, enabling the simulation of complex real-world repairs before they are carried out at the sites.
Technical training delivered by a specialist with over 15 years experience in the manufacture and repair of wind turbine blades. Safety training delivered by ENSA instructors who are specialists in safety and rescue.
The first intake of 12 professionals, split between laminating and sanding. The courses were initially aimed at the Aeris team, with plans to open them up to the external market at a later date.
The mobile trailer enables the monitoring and specific training of field teams, particularly newly promoted professionals, reinforcing technical standardization in actual operations.
Aeris Services has also developed a mobile trailer to serve as an extension of the Houston training center.
Equipped with the same technology as the training center, its aims are to support newly recruited or promoted staff and to deliver specific technical training for our teams working at wind farms.
The trailer ensures continuity of learning after the course, reinforcing the standardisation and quality of the services provided in the field.
